I chose to name this blog
Pressing Forward to Know
because I want to know God as Paul talks about in Philippians 3:7-21.
These verses have changed how I think about my purpose in life and given me a new perspective again and again and again . . . and again. They serve as a reminder that I am to press forward to the goal of knowing Him. Not just head-knowledge divorced from experience. Not just experience divorced from truth. I want to know him as he is revealed in Scripture and as he works in my life through individual blessings, trials and decisions.
I pray that each post will be a glimpse into how God is drawing me closer to Himself and how I am growing in my knowledge of Him. I pray that this blog is a journal of how God is drawing me and I am pressing toward Him.
Hopefully, this will also serve as a way to update friends and family on what is going on with my internship opportunity (this way I don't have to make a gazillion phone calls :-).
